Self-care and the love of a puppy

In the last few months, it’s become extremely clear that self-care vital for our survival. How do we practice that in our everyday life? Listen to music, read a book, watch a movie, dance? Okay for me the dancing is out of the question because well I look like I’m having a seizer or something, and I get too self-conscious, and I just can’t get past the “Dance like no one is watching” thing. I’ve tried the meditation thing, and again nope doesn’t work. The other day my wife told me about this 5 4 3 2 1 thing, which is supposed to ground you in the moment, and things you have control over. I tried it and it actually worked! I shouldn’t be surprised because well HJ is pretty smart, and well a Dr. told her about it. (Always trust a smart woman and a Dr.) I’ll post a link to the steps. Because well we all need a little help now and then.
